Dog eared pages, creases in the spine and that well loved smell; to most book readers, these things are tell tale signs that a book has been truly enjoyed. But, used does not mean abused and it’s the little things that separate used book stores from large, cold book chains. Annie’s Book Stop in New Hampshire is the leading pre-read book store, and has been since the early 1970’s.

Annie’s Book Stop has several locations in New Hampshire, and with the slogan: Today’s Books, Yesterday’s Prices, it’s easy to understand why Annie’s Book Stop is beloved by many. Annie’s Book Stop was founded in 1970 by the original Annie who clearly had a love of books and her community. She sought to expand her little franchise of pre-read bookshops not too long after opening initially, a clear indication of her passion and drive.

With a large and historically diverse selection, most of the books in Annie’s Book Stop are 50-85% off original cover price. They also carry new titles at 20% off, and special orders that may require outside consulting are no problem and are normally in the store within 2-3 days.

Annie’s has a staff that is both lighthearted and knowledgeable and are always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand. A definitive difference from some of the larger, robust chain companies in this day in age.

A holding place for tons of events including Meet the Author and book signings, Annie’s Book Stop offers the community a chance to meet the people that pen the words they love so much. Jack Heath, longtime New Hampshire radio host and author of the Salem series, recently released his newest book entitled Salem VI:Book II Chain of Souls. The paranormal author of the newest installment which has been described as a modern interpretation of the Crucible and a truly compelling story, was hosted by Annie’s Book Stop in January, much to the excitement of New Hampshire’s diverse community.

Good book lovers seem hard to come by nowadays, however a step into Annie’s Book Stop is a step into a place that understands the enjoyment that can come from words on a page. At Annie’s you can buy pre-read books of all types, find those books thought to be lost or out of print, and even trade in your own paperbacks for store credit; a great way to begin a new adventure.

So pick a location and stop by Annie’s Book Stop. Whether it’s the classic books or the new age author signings that draw you in, with Annie’s your guaranteed to want to stay.
